Leveraging Leantime’s AI Powered Status Updates & Tracking

At Leantime, we believe AI can have a fundamental role in augmenting the administrative elements of project management. Artificial intelligence can make this process quicker, faster, and leave us with more time to do the things that matter.

One of the first features we’ve released that enables us to do that is by using AI to collect status updates and to write status reports.

Using a pre-formatted approach that has been vetted through years of experience with writing status updates as a Technical Program Manager at large organizations like Google — our AI written status report includes the necessary elements to best highlight the project progress.

Getting to the How To – Start with Project Settings #

To start collecting status updates, set up the update collection time frame in the Project Settings. This will be done through the number of days you want the team to start submitting updates. If you want it to be done 1 day before the update is due, 2 days, 3 days, and so forth.

Collecting Status Updates from the Team #

The AI will begin to collect updates from the team on tasks due that week.

On their home screens, they’ll see a message stating it’s time to update their work statuses.

Getting the to AI written Status Report #

Once updates begin to come in, a report will start to be generated and pre-formatted.

From there, you can edit, save, and send the report to the folks waiting for the update. The report will be sent via email.

Updates will begin to collect again the following week.
